Crayons of the Mountains
The Crayons of the Mountains -the new and second project after The Crayons of the Seas- create an educational experience centered on 12 crayons featuring colours taken from actual satellite images of the Earth's mountains. The vibrant hues of the Earth are a springboard for children and adults to learn about and experience the wonders of nature, to learn where on Earth each colour can be found and the story behind their distinctive hues.
The crayon making artisans, after many trials and errors, realized the colors of the oceans captured in the satellite photos in each crayon one by one. The numbers printed in each crayon is the longitude latitude of the exact place on earth that the color was taken from.
The 12 colors of the crayons are made from these 12 places in the world:
1. Mt. Everest / Chomolungma / Sagarmāthā, Nepal and China
2. Guiana Highlands (Auyan-Tepui), Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
3. Fagradalsfjall, Iceland
4. Mt. Taranaki, New Zealand
5. The Richat Structure, Mauritania
6. Hunga Tonga-Hunga Haʻapai, Kingdom of Tonga
7. Uluru / Ayers Rock, Australia
8. Mt. Fuji, Japan
9. Machu Picchu, Republic of Peru
10. Rainbow Mountain (Mt. Vinicunca), Republic of Peru
11. Shirakami Sanchi mountain range, Japan
12. Kīlauea, Hawaii

Prioritizing safety of small children's, the sea crayons are made with selected materials that are all 100% natural including bee-wax and pigments that have passed EU Toy Safety Standard (EN71 Part3 2013). The sea crayons are gentle to the earth and environment, as well as for the humans.

A portion of the proceeds of this crayon will be donated to the Republic of Kyribus facing rises at sea levels, and use it as a natural disaster fundraiser to protect against the harm caused by climate changes.

Orders are shipped from Japan using Japan Post mail services or UPS international courier services.
Shipping cost is determined by weight or the size of the package and destination and it depends on the shipping option you select. You will see the available options for your chosen items at checkout.

Return Policy
Returns Policy
We will only provide a refund in the event of damaged or defective items that we cannot replace. If you wish to return or exchange an item you must first contact us within 7 days of arrival by email at hello [at] uguisustore.com
Pre-ordered or Backordered items, sale or discounted items can not be returned.
We will not be able to accept return or exchange of items if contacted after 7 days of arrival, so please make sure to open the package and check the contents as soon as the package arrives.
All customers are responsible for shipping costs as well as duties on all returned items. We can not refund shipping if the package has already been shipped.
When the package for your order gets returned to us after no re-delivery is arranged when you needed to, we can resend you the package but you will need to pay for the postage again. If you choose to cancel the items, we can refund the amount for the purchased items but not the postage as it has already been shipped and is totally non-refundable.
