This Branch-Carved Ladle is made from a thick, sturdy section of a Japanese zelkova (keyaki) tree branch and features a deep bowl, ideal for serving soups and stews. The naturally angled, organic form of the branch makes it comfortable to scoop and serve.

Handcrafted by Ibuki Kaiyama, who envisions a sustainable relationship with the forest, each spoon is shaped to honor the natural character of the wood. Distortions, curves, and knots are embraced as part of the design, making every piece truly one of a kind - a quiet celebration of the harmony between nature and the maker’s hand.
