Hamadagama Small Bowl – Green and Brown Stripes
Ramassage actuellement indisponible
A small ceramic bowl from Hamadagama, a pottery studio in Mashiko, Japan, founded by renowned ceramic artist Shoji Hamada. Traditionally known as a meshiwan, this style of bowl is used for serving rice in Japanese dining, but is also lovely for snacks, yogurt, and other small dishes.
The cream-colored glaze provides a soft background for a stripe-like design in sage green and dark brown, known as Ao-kuro Tsutsugaki.
Hamadagama’s pottery reflects the techniques and traditions passed down through generations of the Hamada family.
Measurements: Approx. φ12cm x 6.5cm H / φ4.7" x 2.56" H
Material Type: Ceramic
Designed and handcrafted in Mashiko, Japan
The color and tones can vary even among pieces fired in the same kiln, as temperature and other conditions differ throughout the kiln. These subtle variations are part of the charm of handmade pottery, giving each bowl its own distinctive character. We hope you enjoy these unique qualities that make each piece special.
