Japanese ceramic yunomi teacups carefully hand crafted by our local Mashiko maker Gunji Pottery. Beautiful amber glaze on the outside and wood fired. Each piece is slightly different to each other so you can enjoy the one-of-a-kind unique handmade feel.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Keiko and Tsunehisa Gunji are one of the most renowned artists and ceramicists in our local Mashiko - a small craft and pottery town 100km north of Tokyo - who work together and individually producing ceramic works for everyday and simple pleasure in their beautiful studio filled with aesthetic and surrounded with nature. 

We visit Gunji's studio and pick up all the pieces ourselves (sometimes they would drop them in) in person. We are thrilled to be introducing Keiko and Tsunehisa's work to the world through UGUISU.
