This Branch-Carved Serving Spoon is made from a thick, sturdy section of a Japanese walnut (kurumi) tree branch, making it ideal for serving. The naturally angled, organic form of the branch makes scooping and serving easy, while adding a beautiful, rustic presence to the table alongside your plates and bowls.

Handcrafted by Ibuki Kaiyama, who envisions a sustainable relationship with the forest, each spoon is shaped so that the natural distortions and knots of the branch become part of the design. Every piece is truly one of a kind, celebrating the harmony between nature’s beauty and the hand of the maker.
