Hanafukin Kitchen Cloth {Linen}

A longtime favorite at UGUISU since 2011, Hanafukin is now available in a 100% linen version, offering the same thoughtful functionality with the natural texture and durability of linen.

Created by Nakagawa, a historic Japanese company founded in Nara in 1716, Hanafukin brings traditional craftsmanship into modern everyday life.

Made from pure linen, this version has a slightly more substantial feel compared to the original cotton Hanafukin. Linen is naturally absorbent, breathable, and quick to dry, making it ideal for everyday kitchen use. Its generous 58 × 58 cm size provides plenty of surface area for drying dishes, food preparation, wiping surfaces, or even as a hand towel.

With repeated washing, the linen fibers become softer and develop a comfortable, supple texture while maintaining their strength and durability. Designed to be used for years, it can eventually be repurposed as a cleaning cloth, making it a truly long-lasting everyday essential.

Each linen Hanafukin is individually wrapped in beautifully patterned paper, making it ready to give as a thoughtful gift.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

・Rinse thoroughly in water or lukewarm water before first use to remove the starch finish.
・Oxygen-based bleach may be used.
・Do not use fabric softener.
・Some shrinkage is expected after washing.
