Sashiko Pot Holder [B] - sold out

This pot holder features beautiful sashiko stitching on one side, worked on vintage Japanese textile. The pattern combines traditional motifs such as masuzashi with kaki no hana (persimmon flower), gasashi, kome no hana (rice flower), and benibana (safflower), creating a rich and harmonious design.

The reverse side is finished in a boro style, made from carefully arranged vintage fabric remnants, stitched together with expressive, random sashiko work. Each piece is carefully handmade by ITOTSUZURI, reflecting a thoughtful and enduring approach to making.

A small loop allows for easy hanging. It can be used as a practical pot holder, or placed beneath a teapot or dish as part of a table setting. It also makes a quiet, decorative presence when hung in the kitchen.
