Simple and functional brass candle snuffer/wick trimmer for Japanese candles sized #1 to #20.
The candle snuffer is an essential accessory for burning Japanese candles safely and to enjoy more beautiful flame longer.
There are two ways to use candle snuffer (movies are pasted below):
1. Shin-kiri / Wick Trimming
The wick carbonation (or mushrooming) happens when burning the Japanese candles and it will require trimming. Leave 1-2cm of the wick and remove the carbonation by gently hold it with the candle snuffer.
2. Shin-uchi / Extinguishing the candle
Gently push the bottom of the wick of the burning candle in toward the wax pool with the snuffer/tweezers. Candle can be put out without producing smoke this way.
