Floral Painted Candles Box Set - 12 Months of Seasonal Art

This exquisite box set includes 12 hand-painted candles, each adorned with floral and botanical motifs representing a different month of the year. These vegan candles are made from 100% natural rice bran wax and are handcrafted by Daiyo, a traditional candle maker based in Shiga Prefecture.

Each delicate artwork is hand-painted by a master artisan who also specializes in Kiyomizu-yaki ceramics in Kyoto, making every candle a one-of-a-kind creation. The set comes elegantly packaged in a fine paper lidded box with the words E-rousoku ("floral painted candles") stamped in gold foil using a graceful Japanese typeface.

A tradition born in Tohoku, these floral candles were originally created as a substitute for fresh flowers during harsh winters, when blooms were scarce. Families placed them on home altars, keeping the spirit of the seasons alive indoors.
