OMORI WAROSOKU
OMORI WAROSOKU is an independent family run traditional Japanese candle maker with a long history based in a small town called Uchiko in Ehime prefecture. OMORI focuses on crafting only the genuine wa-rousoku candles that are completely handcrafted using the techniques and materials unchanged which have been passed down from generation to generation since the Edo period. Today, the 6th generation craftsman Taro and his son preserve the traditional skills that are so precious as there are only a handful of craftsmen with these skills are left in Japan.
OMORI, unlike other candle makers, only crafts candles with wax taken from Ha-ze (urushi or sumac) tree seeds and other natural materials, nor do they use casts that would enable production in larger quantities.
