Faceted Kohiki Bottle Vase (White)

This charming faceted bottle vase is handcrafted by Ryuta Goto in Mashiko using locally sourced clay. Its gently angled surfaces and narrow bottle-shaped opening make it ideal for displaying a single stem, a small branch, or a few seasonal flowers. Compact in size yet full of character, it brings the quiet beauty of handmade Mashiko pottery into everyday life.

Finished in a soft white Kohiki finish, this small vase is easy to place throughout the home and makes a lovely accent with or without flowers.

Kohiki refers to a type of pottery where a formed clay body is coated with a white slip, followed by a transparent glaze.

The slightly thicker application of slip gives the piece a soft, gentle texture and appearance. Upon closer inspection, you may notice fine crazing patterns within the glaze, adding depth and character to the surface. Over time, the piece will develop a unique patina through use, enhancing its beauty and individuality.
