This long scarf is made from exquisite original woven textile "shimobashira" (frost pillars) by a Japanese brand kijinokanosei, developed in collaboration with skilled artisans in Japanese textile mills. Made at a quarter width of the full fabric to minimize waste, it embodies both beauty and sustainability.

Measuring approximately 218 cm (about 86 inches) in length, the scarf provides versatile styling options and can also be used beautifully as a table runner. With a unique pattern on each side, it lets you switch between two distinct looks to suit your mood.

ABOUT THE DESIGN -Shimobashira-
Shimobashira means "frost pillars". The fabric is crafted using slub yarns in glossy orange and white threads, which feature both thick and thin sections. Three strands of yarn are twisted together to form a single thread. By twisting multiple slub yarns, the extreme variations in thickness are harmonized, resulting in a natural and balanced texture. At the same time, the yarn's irregularities create a unique, undulating appearance that gives the fabric a distinctive look.
