Kumidashi Teacup
Pickup currently unavailable
Simple and elegant Kumidashi teacup perfect for the relaxing tea time to enjoy sencha green tea in the morning, afternoon or evening.
Kumidashi is a term used for teacup that is to serve tea for guests while Yunomi is for your own use, however these Kumidashi teacups are great to use either way.
These teacups are made from natural Amakusa porcelain stone fired in the kiln in Hasami Town in Nagasaki prefecture and finished with natural dobai (clay ash) glaze. Since the materials are not refined too much as to leave the natural and beautiful texture, there are subtle rough texture on the surface and there are slight differences in the tone for each teacup. The round shape of the teacup fits nicely in your hands and the curved rim receives the lip softly.
Kumidashi teacup pairs perfectly with Chataku saucer (sold separately).
