IFUJI Oval Carrier
Pickup currently unavailable
This foldable, one-handled oval carrier by IFUJI is a replica of a piece originally crafted by the Sabbath Day Lake Shaker community. The handle makes it convenient for carrying lightweight items, while its versatile design allows it to be used for various purposes—such as storing tea and coffee utensils, cutlery, or serving sweets on a table. It also works beautifully for keeping items tidy, such as balls of yarn for knitting or ribbons for gift wrapping.
Most of the production process is done by hand, with the delicate joints, known as swallowtails, meticulously hand-cut by skilled craftsmen. The copper nails used to fasten the swallowtails are made in the USA on 19th-century nail-producing machines, adding an authentic historical touch.
The carrier is painted with environmentally safe, vegetable oil-based paint made from linseed oil and beeswax, ensuring it is safe for the body.
Available in three sizes: #5, #6, and #7
