Kaya Woven Dishcloth {Flower Bouquet}
Pickup currently unavailable
These Japanese dishcloths (fukin) are folded and packaged to resemble floral bouquets, making them perfect as ready-to-give gifts. Each towel is made from 5 layers of kaya — a beautiful, gauze-like cotton fabric once used as mosquito netting and a specialty of Nara Prefecture, Japan’s ancient capital.
The kaya fabric is highly absorbent, durable, and ideal for dishcloths. Though large in size, the cloths are thin and lightweight, easy to fold for use and quick to dry when spread out. With continued use, they become soft and supple, and eventually, they can serve as versatile household rags.
Available in 3 color variations:
[Pink]
A delicate bouquet of white dahlias, pink roses, red poppies, and other blossoms that carry the meaning of gratitude.
[Yellow]
Bright and uplifting, this bouquet features cheerful yellow and orange flowers such as mimosa, gerbera, and oncidium.
[Pale Blue]
A refreshing arrangement for the warmer seasons, with cool-toned blooms like feverfew, calla lilies, lace flowers, and lisianthus.
