Hinoki Masu Cup
Pickup currently unavailable
Masu the wooden square cup was originally used as a measuring cup, for rice and sake 1 cup (or we say 1 go) equals to this one masu cup. These cups are also used to serve sake, at many restaurants they serve in "spillover style" by pouring sake to the full either in the glass placed inside the masu cup, or directly into the masu cup placed on a small dish.
The cup is made of Hinoki Japanese cypress wood which has natural antibacterial properties to keep food & drink fresh. It has beautiful aroma so it makes sake taste more special too when drinking from it. The joints are so perfectly crafted that liquid will not drip even though there are no nails used to hold the joint together.
