











Noborigama-fired Shallow Bowl

This small shallow bowl was made by the late Shoichi Kamiya of Mashiko, who apprenticed under Living National Treasure Tatsuzo Shimaoka and later spent more than twenty years working in his workshop.
Crafted from coarse Shigaraki clay and fired in a traditional climbing kiln (noborigama), each piece reflects the depth and character of his work.
