This White Flower-Shaped "Rinka" Small Plate is handcrafted by Mashiko potter Ryuta Goto, embodying the rich tradition of Mashiko ware.

Kohiki refers to a type of pottery where a formed clay body is coated with a white slip, followed by a transparent glaze.

The slightly thicker application of slip gives the piece a plump, soft texture with gentle feel. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice many fine crazing patterns, which add depth and character to the piece, allowing it to develop a unique patina over time and enhancing its beauty.

The plate measures approximately 14 cm (5.5 inches) in diameter, making it a perfect size for serving small portions, such as appetizers, condiments, or desserts. Its compact size is ideal for adding a touch of elegance to any table setting.
