Small cotton bags carefully hand-dyed with Aizome or Japan Blue Japanese natural indigo by a local Mashiko artist/crafter Waratani.
The bag has is small but convenient size to carry necessities for everyday. The body and handles are made with 100% Thai cotton.
There are three different designs available: Dot, Wave and Thin Stripe - all one of a kinds.
Each piece is hand-dyed at Waratani studio in Mashiko using traditional techniques and 100% plant based natural materials. Due to the nature of handmade products, there may be small unevenness in the design.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Waratani is an Aizome indigo dye studio and brand run by Makoto Waragai. Originally from Fukushima prefecture, Makoto worked at a Indigo Dyeing Company in Tokyo for 4 years before moving to a craft town Mashiko in 2019 and then started his own aizome dyeing studio.
Waratani produces beautiful aizome products using traditional techniques and 100% authentic and natural plant based ingredients (the "ai" indigo plants he uses are grown in Tokushima prefecture where is known for the best indigo growing center) and no chemical is used in his work.
