Imari-Yaki Sobachoko Cup
Philippe Wisebecker is an artist/illustrator based in Paris and Barcelona whose artwork charms many people with unique perspective drawings and uses of lines that are straight but somehow have warmth in them. Wisebecker has been creating many artworks in Japan for advertisement, publications and many more. From the Japanese folk toy oriental zodiac animal series, the boar (which will be the sign for 2019) has been printed onto a Imari-yaki porcelain cup. Sobachoko -literally translates to "soba noodle cup" and they are used to put sauce for dipping soba noodle in, but are often used for drinking tea or sake also.
