Flower Painted Candles Set
A set of three Japanese candles with beautiful flowers hand painted by artisans together with a simple candle stand all nicely fit in a box perfect for gift. These Japanese candles are hand crafted by Daiyo in Shiga prefecture and the tree flowers hydrangea, lily and mimosa are exclusively hand painted by a master artisan who paints Kiyomizu-yaki wares in Kyoto. Candles are made using natural rice bran wax and the candle stand is dark brown coloured metal with two spikes in different sizes that can be attached easily. On the front of the box embossed are the words "E-rousoku" (meaning "floral painted candles") and "Seasons" in beautiful Japanese fonts.
Floral painted candles are originated in Tohoku over 500 years ago, during the harsh winter when it used to be very hard to get fresh flowers people started to paint flowers on the candles and used them for the buddhist altar at their homes as alternatives to fresh flowers.
These candles are perfect to use as decoration, as alternatives to flowers in the hot summer season, or as special gift to special someone.
Traditional Japanese candles are completely handmade and give very little smoke, drip and a brighter light than modern paraffin candles.
