A wooden tray made of scrap timber parts put together in the beautiful herringbone pattern carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans using quality materials. The base is made with cedar (sugi) and cypress (hinoki) is used for the frame. Both wood are harvested in Yoshino, Nara prefecture where is known to produce highly prized woods in Japan.

  • Rub the natural stain or oil over the surface to get the shine of the wood. Wipe with dry cloth will make the tones of wood brighter and shinier.
  • Wash quickly with warm water and completely dry with soft cloth and then dry in the shade. Avoid using brush or scouring powder as it can leave scratches on the wood surface.
  • Colours/grains may vary due to the nature of the natural materials used.
  • Never put in hot water or leave to soak as the wood may crack, also avoid keeping in high moisture or temperature and avoid direct sunlight.
